We are partnering with a global academic publishing and technology organisation to recruit an experienced Data & BI Product Owner. This is an exciting opportunity to join a purpose-driven, international business and lead the delivery of data products that enable insight-driven decision-making across the organisation.

This role is ideal for a data-focused Product Owner with strong stakeholder engagement skills and experience delivering BI, analytics, or master data solutions in complex environments.

The Role

As the Data & BI Product Owner, you will take end-to-end ownership of a newly established data product supporting marketing intelligence, analytics, and research integrity. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to shape product vision and ensure successful delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Defining and articulating a clear product vision aligned to business strategy

  • Owning, prioritising, and maintaining a transparent product backlog

  • Leading workshops to capture requirements and convert them into high-quality user stories

  • Collaborating with Product Owners and Product Managers on shared roadmaps and initiatives

  • Coaching and mentoring delivery teams to drive continuous improvement and best practice

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst within data, BI, or analytics environments

  • Strong knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) or Customer Data Platforms (CDP)

  • Hands-on experience with SQL and leading BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in a global setting

  • Analytical mindset with a strong passion for data and insight-led decision-making

  • Ability to adapt quickly and navigate complex technical and organisational landscapes

Package & Benefits

  • £60,000–£65,000 salary (dependent on experience)
