T Project Manager (MSP)
Location: Stockport
Salary: £37,000 – £45,000 + benefits
The Opportunity
Are you an IT Project Manager with experience in an MSP or IT services environment, looking to join a business that’s scaling quickly and genuinely investing in delivery capability?
Due to continued growth, our client is adding a dedicated IT Project Manager to their team. Over the past 18 months, the business has acquired three companies and shows no signs of slowing down. With an increasing volume of client-facing project work, this newly created role is critical to ensuring projects are delivered consistently and successfully as the organisation continues to scale.
This is a key hire and an excellent opportunity to shape how project delivery operates within a growing MSP.
The Role
As IT Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent IT projects for external clients. You’ll work closely with internal technical teams, third-party suppliers, and customers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Projects will typically include:
-
Microsoft cloud migrations
-
Infrastructure upgrades and hardware rollouts
-
Cybersecurity initiatives
-
Onboarding and integration of newly acquired businesses
You’ll act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, managing expectations and ensuring clear communication at every stage.
This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced MSP environment, requiring strong organisation skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities as the business evolves.
The Environment
The business supports a growing UK-wide SME client base and operates across multiple offices. Introducing a dedicated Project Manager represents a significant step forward in improving structure, visibility, and client experience across project delivery.
There is genuine opportunity to influence processes, tools, and delivery standards as the organisation continues to grow through acquisition.
What They’re Looking For
-
Proven experience delivering IT projects within an MSP or IT services environment
-
Confidence working directly with clients and managing multiple projects simultaneously
-
Strong organisational skills and the ability to keep delivery on track in a dynamic setting
-
Project management certifications (e.g. PRINCE2) are beneficial but not essential
Attitude, hands-on experience, and the ability to deliver in a client-facing MSP environment are more important than formal certifications.
Package & Benefits
-
Salary of £37,000 – £45,000, depending on experience
-
Company pension
-
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with options to purchase additional leave
-
Investment in training and professional development
-
Flexible working options may be available following probation
