Infrastructure Engineer

Are you an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with strong skills in Windows Server, Active Directory, cloud platforms, cyber security, and patch management? Our client is looking for a talented engineer to join their growing IT Infrastructure team and play a key role in strengthening and securing their technology environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands-on responsibility, working across a broad range of systems, and driving cyber security improvements in a complex, multi-site organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and manage cyber security controls across servers, networks, and cloud environments.

• Operate and maintain infrastructure security tools including firewalls, deployment tools, and data encryption technologies.

• Oversee and improve server patching processes, ensuring full compliance across all devices.

• Build, deploy, harden, and manage Windows Server environments and system images.

• Own infrastructure deployment technologies and support automation initiatives.

• Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve infrastructure-related cyber issues.

• Work with the Cyber Security Manager to enhance cyber resilience, processes, and best practices.

Skills & Experience We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in Infrastructure Engineering within a large, complex environment.

• Expertise across:

  • Active Directory

  • Windows Server

  • MS-SQL

  • Citrix

  • Cisco switches

  • Firewalls, DMZ environments

  • Cloud platforms (AWS preferred)

• Proven background in implementing security measures to protect infrastructure systems and data.

• Hands-on experience with Application and Patch Management tools.

• A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on operational security.
