Role Overview
As a Junior Data Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in building and maintaining the data infrastructure that supports our enterprise operations and analytics. You’ll assist in creating robust data pipelines, optimizing data processes, and supporting transformational projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line support for data engineering tasks, including monitoring data pipelines, troubleshooting, and ensuring data integrity.
- Design and implement data models for structured and unstructured datasets, performing data cleansing, transformation, and validation.
- Assist in developing and optimizing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure efficiency and reliability.
- Support system administration tasks such as managing user access to data resources and resolving data-related issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data requirements and deliver sustainable solutions.
- Contribute to key projects by designing, testing, and implementing data pipelines and workflows.
Key Competencies
Essential:
- Basic understanding of data engineering concepts (e.g., ETL processes, data pipelines, data quality management).
- Hands-on experience with SQL, including query writing and basic database management.
- Familiarity with data tools and platforms such as Python, Power BI, or Tableau.
Preferred:
- Experience with cloud platforms like Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and architectures.
