We are seeking a proactive IT Help Desk Technician to deliver first-line IT support across our warehouse and office environments. This role is critical to ensuring uninterrupted IT operations within a fast-paced logistics and distribution network. The successful candidate will provide hands-on technical support, troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, and work closely with warehouse and operations teams to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in a warehouse setting, ideal for an IT professional who enjoys working in a dynamic, operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver day-to-day IT support for warehouse and office users, resolving issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, handheld scanners, mobile devices, and peripherals.

  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network connectivity, LAN/Wi-Fi performance, and system access within the warehouse environment.

  • Install, configure, and deploy new hardware and software, ensuring compliance with IT security standards and company policies.

  • Manage user accounts, passwords, permissions, and access rights in line with internal IT governance.

  • Support and maintain Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to ensure smooth logistics and operational workflows.

  • Log, track, and document all incidents and service requests using the IT ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and accurate reporting.

  • Escalate complex technical issues and liaise with external vendors or central IT teams when required.

  • Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on warehouse IT infrastructure and equipment to reduce system downtime.

  • Provide basic IT training and user guidance to warehouse staff on systems, applications, and hardware usage.

  • Assist with software updates, backups, and scheduled maintenance activities as required.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Experience & Education

  • Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 1–2 years’ experience in an IT Help Desk, Desktop Support, or Technical Support role, ideally within a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial environment.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and common enterprise applications.

  • Practical experience troubleshooting PCs, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and warehouse IT equipment.

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts, including LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, and switches.

  • Exposure to Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP systems is highly advantageous.

Personal Attributes

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment.

  • Comfortable supporting non-technical users and collaborating with warehouse and operations teams.

  • Willingness to work on-site and provide occasional after-hours support for urgent IT issues.
