Senior Python Developer

You will work with a modern tech stack including Python, Flask, Vue.js, and AWS, taking ownership of the design and delivery of high-performance, scalable systems.

The Role

As a Senior / Lead Python Developer, you will:

• Lead the design and development of scalable Python applications

• Act as a technical mentor and role model within a high-performing engineering team

• Drive Agile delivery, continuous improvement, and engineering best practices

• Build and maintain cloud-native architectures on AWS

• Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices

• Implement CI/CD pipelines, containerised deployments, and automation

• Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approaches for reliability and scalability

• Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering stakeholders

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong commercial experience as a Senior Python Developer / Lead Python Engineer

• Proven background in full-stack development

• Expert knowledge of Python and the Flask framework

• Frontend experience with Vue.js

• Deep understanding of AWS cloud services

• Experience with containers, CI/CD pipelines, and automation

• Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and guiding developers

• Passion for engineering excellence and continuous improvement

Desirable (but not essential):

• Experience with serverless architectures, AI, or EdTech platforms
